Just a stone’s throw away from our distillery in ‘Spirit & Soul’, hidden behind the bookcase you’ll find ‘Hell & High Water’ Gin & Cocktail bar. The perfect place to come and enjoy all our spirits in their purist form or enjoy a cocktail or two while looking out to some of Northumberland’s most iconic views and landmarks.
Here we offer quiet drinks, free private hire for groups or parties & tastings with our distiller!
If you’d like a quiet drink for up to 7 people, our bar is open WEEKENDS ONLY for walk-ins during shop opening hours & bookings on Saturday evenings (April to October).
We offer free private hire of our intimate lounge for groups of 7 to 16 people, the perfect place to celebrate with friends & family with a cocktail in hand (Available 7 days, all year round)

We established Holy Islands’ first & only distillery back in 2017, in the beer garden of our local pub, under a different name. Starting with our 100L still ‘Mona’, we then got our larger to 250L still in 2019, ‘Aila Rose’ who still does a top job of distilling our spirits today!
After the whirlwind that 2021 was, we decided we did not fit into our former name & the expectations it brought us. We’re young, chaotic & ambitious disruptors – we needed our brand to reflect that! So, in 2022, we changed our name & launched our new gin ‘Creed & Tide’ with a lot more exciting spirits in the pipeline. In May, we opened our liquor store & spirits school ‘Spirit & Soul’ in what was the ‘Island Store’, with an aim to offer a more interactive experience for you guys and create an engaging space for like-minded liquor lovers!
